We are ready to get you registered to attend Ortwein Elementary! It's as easy as 1-2-3.

Please follow the steps below to register your child(ren) for school.

CCSD has a Change of School Assignment policy. It replaces Zone Variances and Open Enrollment. Please click here for more information.

Register on the Infinite Campus Portal.

Come into the school office to finalize your registration.

Receive your child's classroom and teacher assignment.

 
Step 1

Returning Students

Click the link above if any of the following apply:

  • each new school year, to re-enroll your child already attending a CCSD school

  • your child is transferring to our school from another school in CCSD

  • to register a new kindergartner who already has a sibling attending any CCSD school

New Students to CCSD

Click the link above if any of the following apply:

  • your child is transferring to our school from outside the Clark County School District

  • to register a new kindergartner who has no siblings who have ever attended any CCSD school

​

If you are having difficulties with or have additional questions about registering online, please call us at 702-799-2680. We have a kiosk in the school office to complete registration.

Step 2

 

If your child has been attending another CCSD school, you will need to provide the following:

 

Proof of address (one of the following):

​

  • recent utility bill

  • rent receipt

  • residence lease or sales contract

  • withdrawal form from previous school

​​

Note: If you only have a sales contract for the purchase of a new home as proof of address, the school will enroll your child on the condition that one additional proof of address from the above list is submitted within 30 days. Telephone bills or cable bills are NOT acceptable. â€‹â€‹

If you are new to the Clark County School District, you must also provide these additional items:

 

For proof of your child's identity, please bring ONE of the following. Photocopies will not be accepted:

​

  • original birth certificate

  • passport

  • certified birth card (issued by the Clark County Health District or another health district)

​

For proof of immunizations, you must have records indicating that your child has had, or at least started, this series of immunizations:

​

  • 5 DPT shots *

  • 4 Polio shots *

  • 2 MMR shots

  • 2 Hepatitis A shots

  • 3 Hepatitis B shots

  • 2 Chickenpox (Varicella) shots or doctor's note with date of disease

* Note: One dose of DPT and polio must be on or after the child's fourth birthday.

​

Step 3

 

Once both steps above are complete, your child will be assigned to a classroom and teacher.
