My favorite things about being an educator: Supporting students and families socially, emotionally, and academically, welcoming and advocating for students and families of all diverse cultural backgrounds, and creating an environment where kids feel safe and loved

My favorite things about being an educator: I am able hang out and learn with a bunch of cool humans who are just as excited as I am about learning. Also, the breakthrough that occurs as the year progresses is indescribable!

My favorite things outside of school: My husband and family, my Aussiedoodle, the Minnesota Vikings, the Golden Knights, paddle boarding, puzzles, Dutch Bros, and concerts
My favorite things about being an educator: I get to spend every day learning with future veterinarians, firefighters, ballerinas, superheroes, etc. who get excited about finding a ladybug outside at recess! What's not to love?

My favorite things about being an educator: Building a classroom community where students care about each other and providing an environment where students are excited to come to school and LOVE to LEARN.

My favorite things outside of school: my high school sweetheart husband, our daughter Ally, our two kitties, astrophysics, ancient archaeology, graphic design, and standup comedy.
My favorite things about being an educator: Helping my students understand the importance of hard work and supporting them as they become motivated, independent citizens of society.

My favorite things about being an educator: Building relationships with my students, seeing the students not afraid to make mistakes, seeing them believe in themselves, their uniqueness, and their dreams, and reminding them that they are loved and matter- always!
